CHICAGO (Reuters) - Chelsea football club winger Christian
Plesk has returned to the US squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers
against Mexico and Jamaica. The American Soccer Federation has confirmed that
winger Christian Plesk has been included in the national squad for the upcoming
FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Mexico and Jamaica.
Winger Christian Plesk, who missed the team's October
qualifiers due to an ankle injury, has recovered from fitness issues and
represented Chelsea in a UEFA Champions League match.
Greg Berhalter, head coach of the American football team,
said that the return of winger Christian Plesk is welcome and the returning winger can be valuable for the team. The United States will face Mexico in
Cincinnati on November 12 and Jamaica in Kingston four days later.
