Australian
captain Aaron Fitch says he wants to see Pakistani skipper Babar Azam in the
Australian League Big Bash.
In a press
conference after the defeat in the last one-day international against Pakistan,
Aaron Finch warmly praised Babar Azam and the Pakistani players.
"I
asked Babar if he was interested in playing for the Melbourne Renegades in the
Big Bash League, which Babar agreed to and we will sign him now," Finch
said. "I'm just kidding," he said with a smile.
"We
would be happy if world-class players from around the world were part of our
domestic league," said the Kangaroos captain.
He said that
if Babar became available for the Big Bash League then anyone would be ready to
feed him and not only Babar but also other Pakistani players should join the
Big Bash. We would welcome him warmly. '
"Cricket
talent in Pakistan is extraordinary, so I think when Pakistani players get a
chance to play in our leagues, world cricket will improve," said Aaron
Finch.
